Agenda:

1. Is a dress code mission appropriate? Everything we do from classroom activities to field trips must be in support of the overall mission of the school.
Response: NO

2. Develop our preliminary "philosophy" of our dress code. What's its purpose? Why do we need it? What do we want to accomplish with it?
Response:
The St. Luke’s mission promotes the personal pursuit of excellence at every level: academic, social, and athletic. One important component of this pursuit is a dress code for students and faculty alike that sets high standards and creates an environment conducive to learning. The dress code is intended to establish consistent and predictable dress standards that reflect modesty and moderation, allows for individuality and pride in oneself and reinforces the idea that appearance matters. Therefore, to promote pride in our school and in ourselves, we subscribe to, and enforce, a dress code that emphasizes neatness and appropriateness at all times.
